This is a well done beautiful wooden violin replica of a real violin except it has fake strings but they're pretty and it's only and probably built with a kit I've seen others similar in price and beauty but this one has no defects and if you'll notice on the face of it the wood grain is beautiful on the face of this one in particular this one when I first got it one of the little stems at the top was a bit broken so I refurbished it with a tiny bit of glue and you can't tell it it blended real good no other issues were found and fixed it's all in good shape it's original I have no idea how old it is but it's a good piece of art it doesn't appear to be any finish on the wood there might be a light glaze on the face .. it's about 1 to 2 in thick 5 in wide and 15 in tall when standing up on end
